The PWTransit team from Port Alberni was recognized on June 28th at the Transit SuperStars Awards dinner at Church & State Winery as part of BC Transit’s Annual Workshop. Every year, BC Transit recognizes excellence and celebrates the Transit SuperStars making a positive difference in our regional transit systems across the province.

The entire PWTransit team has worked really hard to support each other and ensure buses remained on the road and reliable service was maintained for customers in the Port Alberni Transit System.

At times, this included cancelling vacations, carrying out multiple jobs and doing what it took to get service delivered and buses on the road. Mechanics could be seen washing buses, drivers were helping with administration, and everyone was working around the clock to get the job done.

Every member of the team in Port Alberni is dedicated to their community, passionate about their work and committed to providing the best service possible. Each Transit SuperStars winner meets one or more of BC Transit’s core values: community, customer service, innovation, safety, teamwork and trust & respect.
