Port Alberni Transit
On Vancouver Island, the Port Alberni Conventional System and the Alberni-Clayoquot Custom Transit System are operated by PWTransit and are a unique union of conventional transit and handyDART vehicles. PWTransit began operation of the Port Alberni Transit system in 2008, which provides residents with over 17,000 Service Hours and has an annual ridership of over 335,000 passengers.
Services Provided:
Conventional Transit & Custom Transit – Operating the Port Alberni Conventional System and the Alberni-Clayoquot Custom Transit System, PWTransit employs operators, mechanic, office staff and operates a combined fleet of nine buses including transit and handyDART vehicles.

Custom Buses in the Canada Day Parade and the Fall Fair Parade (both times with Canadian Legion members). If we have enough conventional buses we add them to the parades as well.
We have participated in 'Stuff the Bus' for the food bank.
Special elementary group tours of facility and intro to 'Ride the Bus' to help teach the children how to ride buses safely.
